An Administrative Note
From Mia Cope
My office has received a number of inquiries, whinings, and outright complaints about what is being widely perceived as a missed deadline the last two Fridays for Notes from Casa de Togo. I will admit, in hindsight, that forthright communication would have been the correct course in this instance. And though the buck stops here with me as the General Manager and Chief Security Officer of Casa de Togo, I do want to make it clear that matters of deadlines and forthright communcations are clearly delegated to Daddy as part of his duties as a Grounds and Maintenance worker. I want to gently say that he totally failed in this regard.
And that’s where this gets a little thorny. You see, I have found it necessary to undertake a deep review of Daddy’s effectiveness in his job. Thus, I have had him take on a few extra duties that allow me to see him and gauge his effectiveness in a wide range of areas of needed expertise and skill. Unfortunately, that has been a larger drain on my own time and availability to do my regular work. I have to watch him like a hawk. So, while it’s true that I didn’t write a Note these last two weeks, I continue to assert that it’s Daddy’s fault.
Here’s the thing. I have a hard time with keyboards. My paws are simply too big to allow accuracy. Thus, I dictate all of my writings and executive orders to Daddy. Daddy had choices to make whether he would complete tasks for his performance review or do the equally important details of his regular work. It is a dilemma. But, given the widespread reaction I have received from our readers — both of them — it’s obvious that Daddy made a poor choice.
So I want to offer an apology that parallels those of many in politics. I’m sorry if you’re mad even if your anger is mistakenly leveled at me. And, a reminder, it’s Daddy’s fault. Thankfully, his performance review is almost over and things will get back to normal around here soon. No need for you to send in your complaints about Daddy. I already have a lot of things on the list.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Mia
General Manager and Chief Security Officer

Mia, the buck stops at the Resolute Desk. Own it.
It’s always good to have someone keeping us on our toes. Until they make it public. Haha.
