Remember me? I’m Mia, the General Manager and Director of Security at Casa de Togo.
September is special around here because it’s the birthday month of our founder, Togo. Togo passed away earlier this year but his paw prints are literally all over this place.
Several of our new readers who never met Togo have asked me what he was like. To be honest, I never met him either. But you have to like a guy who will unashamedly pose with flowers like I do. Here’s one of Togo in front of the purple sage bushes at the university — just like me in the picture above.
A lot of people say that Togo and I look a lot alike. Frankly, I don’t see the resemblance. Togo was a lot bigger than me. Look at this next picture. That’s Daddy’s hand on Togo while he was snoozing. Daddy’s not big, but you have to admit, Togo was a good-sized boy.
He was athletic, just like me. He was really fast and so am I. But he jumped more than I do. If we have snow this winter I may try to hurdle some bushes just like he did.
We both like those big, squishy dental treats. I like to savor mine in the evening right before my supper. If the legend is true, Togo scarfed down his treat only seconds after this picture was taken.

Togo built an empire here at Casa de Togo. Momma and Daddy are pretty certain that he sent me to carry on his work. Those will be big paw prints to fill. And I won’t do everything like Togo did. But I guarantee that I’ll make him proud as he watches from his spot near his rainbow bridge.
Mia, that was a sweet tribute about Togo. He was a special pup just like you are❣️
And as long as we remember, Togo lives on. Mia, you will make him proud.
