This is a really busy time of year. I dictated an imaginary story to Daddy about the Nativity. Daddy told me that the story had real potential. That’s Daddy-speak for “It needs more work.” So I made the executive decision not to publish this week.
But I thought I would remind everyone that December holds three major holiday celebrations: Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanza. So, regardless of your celebration inclinations, take time to support others in their traditions. A wise person once said that we should rejoice with those who rejoice, just as we mourn with those who mourn.
And that brings me to my most important thought for the week. We have much to mourn in this world. Our ability to enter into grief with those of every nation, whether friend or enemy, immigrant or neighbor, also gives us the ability to grow in love and in goodness.
Please take care this week. Togo Goes will be back.
Thank you, Togo, for the wise words. Your Daddy is a pretty wise guy. Kind of like three other "Wise Guys" (as our sons used to call them). Merry Christmas to you and your family.
