We interrupt Togo Goes for an important announcement . . .
Hi, this is Joey Cope, aka “Daddy” in the Togo Goes stories. Last week, Togo told you about his plans to enter the world of fiction. With some trepidation, we intend to launch a new series, “Togo (Goes) on Assignment,” next week.
We’re not sure how well this will work and Togo wanted me to let you know that if it doesn’t, the experiment will end quickly. But in the meantime, Togo would like your assistance.
This series of stories will send Togo worldwide on special assignments. Since Togo hasn’t been all over the world, he was wondering if those of you who have traveled might send a picture or two of somewhere you have been. Not only will that provide nice pictures for Togo’s readers, but it will also help Togo decide where he will go from time to time. (In other words, we’re looking for potential storylines.) Our faithful reader, Marisue, has already started us with some fine photos from her adventures.
Togo hopes that this experiment will be entertaining and perhaps a little educational. Most of all, he wants it to be fun.
And, he would love to have you interact in the story — even play roles if you wish. All imaginary, of course.
At this point, Togo would probably say, “Daddy thinks this is a weird idea and that it probably won’t work. That’s why we’re doing it. To help Daddy be more positive. Daddy is a little bored and could use something to occupy his time.”
The stories will unfold chapter by chapter. And you will have plenty of time to make suggestions each week. Send those ideas and pictures to me at copelaw@gmail.com.
Thanks for reading Togo Goes. Those real-life adventures will be interspersed with the new Togo (Goes) series. And if no one reads Togo (Goes), then Togo has promised to put on his thinking cap and come up with something else.
