I currently live with Gus and my wife. Gus was with me through some of my darkest days. As he ages I wonder what it will be like without him. And it makes me sad. I know Togo was more than a dog too.
Dogs are wondrous beings. Gus and Togo perhaps in the "Most Wondrous" category. I'm confident that most dog-loving humans would include their furry friends there. When they're gone, we still go to check on them each morning, don't we? When they're with us, we fret over the day they will leave. Much more than dogs. Thanks, Jeff! Say hi to Gus for us.
I am so glad that Mia mentioned Sammy the squirrel. I hope Togo has continued to be on guard and vigilant as he patrols the streets of light and I really hope he has found a new, eternity long friend in our little dog, Sammy. I like to believe they have become fast friends and that he is teaching her to be braver than she knew she was. To quote that silly ole bear, Pooh, "How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."
Mia, no dog will ever replace Togo. Your being invited to come into the home was to bring love. Mommy and Daddy really needed you, and from what I can tell 90 miles away, you’re doing a splendid job. Carry on, sweet one.
I still miss my sweet boy. Loved him so very much!🐾💙
Me, too. <3
This makes me sad today.Togo was so special to your family. I’m thankful y’all have Mia to help cheer you up. ❤️
Thank you, Bev!
Loved Togo. May he romp in light perpetual;)
"Romp" is a good word. Blessings!

Mia, thanks for your sweet and heartfelt memories of Togo. You're doing a great job in his stead.
Mia says, "Thanks, your Honor. You are kind."
Always in our hearts and never forgotten. Sending you love as you remember your beautiful Togo. ♥️
Thank you, Julie! Special friends love our dogs as much as we do.

My guess is that Sammy and Togo are great friends. And they are waiting. Blessings in your memories of Sammy.
I knew this was the year anniversary coming up. We never quit missing them. Hugs to you all.
Thanks, Kathy. Hope Shadow is feeling well. And you, of course.

Indeed, Roger. Mia has a different approach but is continuing Togo's mission. Thanks!
